A 1936 theatre and eighteen holes
The Alpine Theatre has been a fixture in downtown Ripley since it opened its doors in 1936. It has been restored through the Main Street Ripley organization and is included on West Virginia's Historic Theatre Trail.
Performances in the 100-seat auditorium range from live music concerts and comedy shows to movies and lectures. It serves as the home of the Jackson County Players theatrical troupe. For information see their page on Facebook; to book an event call 304-372-1637.
Greenhills Country Club is an 18-hole golf course situated off I-77 Exit 146. Amenities include a pro shop, Bogey's BBQ & Grill, overnight accommodations and a conference room. Call 304-273-4121 for information or tee times.
Disc golf courses are located at Cedar Lakes Conference Center, two miles south of Ripley, and Parchment Valley Conference Center, two miles west of town.
